Constructive systems - work in progess

/ Incompiuto Siciliano

Advancement of models in the studio. These images feature some of the physical testing that emerge out of the analysis run on the existing infrastructure of the stadium.  They will evolve into constructive systems defined by variable parameters enabling their adaptation to specific conditions encountered on the site.

Concrete degradation

/ Incompiuto Siciliano

Cartography on electromagnetism of concrete, including representation of sound recording.
The analysis permits the location of different degrees of degradation of the material.

Interconcentration

/ Incompiuto Siciliano

This cartography displays the different interactions and concentrations between the wind movement and the presence of wild vegetation on the steps and the first level of the stadium.

Friction and heat map

/ Incompiuto Siciliano

Two different mapping approaches:
1. measuring superficial material friction by moving a concrete block on the ground.
2. mapping mass heat absorption by dropping alcohol and recording its evaporation time.
this drawing illustrates the thermal behaviour on the concrete body of a complete section of the stadium.

Inventory of textures on vertical surfaces.
Offsets of occupation of each crack thickness and the space resulting from the intersections of the area occupied.

l'Eau dégradant le béton

/ Incompiuto Siciliano

Map of the impact of the evaporation of the water contained in the lichen, on the concrete from the stadium of Giarre. A phenomenon of erosion involving a total or surface disintegration of the material. The degree of this erosion depends on the vegetation water content on the site.
