The castle almere is an unfinished and abandoned castle build in Almere that has become a modern ruin. this building project began in 1999 in order to build a luxury hotel, wedding venue and place for large events near Almere in the Netherlands. The first start of construction occurred in september of 2000. However, the project went bankrupt, and the municipality refused to finish it. Now, it stands there for a decade in a feral landscape.
